Panto 2023 was an exhilarating comeback to the magic of live theater, with audiences filling the seats once more post pandemic! I vividly recall the whirlwind of dreams I experienced during our early workshops. Assessing my wild dreams ended up guiding me through this Panto process, and what began as a simple tale of a charming villain ensnaring a damsel-in-distress quickly morphed into something much grander. The pressure was on, and I struggled to find my rhythm—until, HUZZAH! I found the "spark" of inspiration I needed by thinking about what I was going through in that moment. I decided to write a Panto about an author writing a Panto about an author writing a Panto...Enter Demon King Cumbercrown, the embodiment of Writer's Block, spinning a delightful web of confusion and chaos. What a thrilling journey this turned out to be!
