The project benefited greatly from a fantastic incubation period at the Orchard Alumni Arts Residency at Hamilton College. As an accepted participant, I collaborated with talented students to develop new work in the arts. We engaged in an open exchange of ideas, sharing insights and techniques. Together, we spent a week workshopping my concept for a Lizzie Borden puppet play, utilizing found object puppetry, an area I was just beginning to explore.
